Today we walked to Bass Pro to see the clean water bill being signed by Missouri Governer Matt Blunt and Arkansas Governer Mike Beebe. We walked down to Uncle Buck’s Auditorium and sat for a few minutes. Then someone came on and told us the meeting was about to start. First up to talk was the owner of bass pro shops, Johnny Morris, and then alot of other people. Then the governors talked and the moment we were all waiting for, they signed the bill. Then we walked back to school to continue on with the day. The reason why we attended this signing was because we have been studying aquatic ecosystems and we know how important clean water is to the plants and animals in that habitat. We have also learned about watersheds, which is why Missouri and Arkansas teamed up together on this bill… we share a watershed.
